Zeke Williams and Steve Imig Present Paper on Energy Development on Forest Service Lands at Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Annual Institute

Two Ducker, Montgomery, Lewis & Bess attorneys spoke at the Annual Institute of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation in Santa Fe, New Mexico on July 21, 2011.  Zeke Williams and Steve Imig presented a paper on the topic “Energy Development on National Forest System Lands.”  The paper addresses oil and gas, solar, wind, geothermal, and woody biomass energy development on the 193 million acres of National Forest and National Grasslands managed by the Forest Service in 44 states.  The presentation and the paper draw upon the considerable practical experience of Zeke and Steve, who advise oil and gas companies, renewable energy developers, ski areas, pipeline operators, and land exchange proponents on acquiring, perfecting, developing, and operating interests in federal public lands managed by the United States Forest Service and the United States Bureau of Land Management.

The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation will publish the paper that accompanied the presentation later in 2011.  The Annual Institute of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation was attended by a record 1,100 individuals from public and private companies, state and federal government agencies, law firms, and universities.
